both my parents made me all defective and then made me scared of doctors as a child so that'd never complain about all the -admittedly minor- physical disabilities I have until such a point where I have to pay myself to have them fixed. I have a crooked jaw, uneven teeth, one milk tooth because the adult one never developed, astigmatism, allergies, scoliosis, flat foot, phimosis, autism (obviously), I might have hearth issues and other symptoms of marfan's, idek why yet but putting a knee against the ground is extremely painful... who knows what else will come out next time.

People born from 1000-1970 grew up with the idea that intelligent Martians could actually exist. Then in the 1970s, various space probes discovered it was impossible. 40kg overhead press and 70kg deadlift. t. fatbernd

Car inspected and legally registered for another year. A/C and rear brakes fixed. Ran another 4 miles (but drank lots of alcohol which negates this). Listened to motivational videos that encourage me to reach the next level in my life.

Just lurked the whole day. Now it is deep night and Bernd has motivation to go out. But Bernd is to shy to go to a club or bar alone and other activities have closed now. Sigh.

I wish I could play bang-on balls chronicles, but my computer is not built for that.

Started a new run of Factorio.

Played KCD but the DLC kept crashing my PC so then I played Stalker 2 and then I played Dying Light The Following DLC.

>>1916 Well when I played SoC I played Kyuzos Oblivion Lost modpack which is not the same as Oblivion Lost Remake, it just restores stuff cut from SoC, adds guns, better A-life, combat AI and factions fighting for locations. When I played CoP I played Misery, so my comparison is not with the vanilla games. Stalker 2: Great world & map, looks and feels like a modern Stalker game, still plays mostly the same which is very pleasant for me as a lover of Stalker. Guns and combat feel pretty good except the combat AI is considerably less advanced and deadly and makes up for it with nade spamming, and the way the guns progress is fucked. Instead of damage and armour piercing being a calibre & ammo type situation, there's a new stat called penetration. Where you could previously clock the game with Streloks rapid AK and AP rounds, now at a certain point in the game when a sad event happens you need to start adopting sniper rifles or modern assault rifles. Even a 7.62 LMG becomes less effective. The atmosphere and tense uneasy feeling is still there, I feel the sound engineering is not quite as good as the old games but still good. A-life has apparently been fixed but I clocked the game before that happened , so whereas in Misery I'd be taking my time, scouting with binoculars and planning my movements ahead of time, it wasn't possible for me in Stalker 2, everything would spawn on me within a radius which sucked in comparison to proper A life. I will be playing it again but I'm a big Stalker fan.

In Germany the later pic is considered rural. At least if you live in the Ruhrgebiet or Hamburg/Berlin.

Reading the penguin book of G.K. Chestertons 'The Man Who Was Thursday". Very funny and cosy, yet full of mystery.

Maybe that would get you more into the mood for learning them if you like history. My recommendation is The World of Kanji by Alex Adler recommended to me by another Bern on og KC. There are other books on the same subject so you can look into those. For me this book really helped since I disliked making nonsense association to memorize kanji. The learning curve seems bad. It's not easy of course but it's a lot easier than people think. After learning mere 500 kanji, everything becomes a lot easier. It's like a snowball effect. However, it's true as with anything else, that you should be ready to commit some of your daily time to studying/reviewing japanese. My mistake was not being consistent.

Bernd also tried to lern Japanese for 10 yers now. Got stuck at 300 Kanji ans about 500 words. Don't know if thats already N4 or still N5. But all the knowledge of japanese doesn't make Bernd understand anime in original. It's as if all the effort of learning it didn't have any sense.

I started focusing more on the casual and colloquial expression. Most textbooks focus on the polite forms and start from that which is okay if you're only interested in reading news. For everything else, manga, anime, shows and everyday life, casual forms are mainly used and it's hard to get used to that type of speak if you ignored it or think it's not that important.
